Welcome to CommunityCrime.Watch. By accessing or using our website and its related services (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms").

1. The Service

CommunityCrime.Watch is a community-driven platform for sharing safety information. Our Service includes a Progressive Web App (PWA) which can be installed on supported devices (including iOS, Android, and desktop computers) for an enhanced, app-like experience.

Disclaimer: The Service is NOT a substitute for emergency services. In an emergency, always contact Triple Zero (000) immediately. This platform is a community awareness tool and is not monitored in real-time by law enforcement.

2. Membership & Subscriptions

We are committed to community safety for everyone. As such, the core features of the Service (including viewing the live map, submitting reports, and receiving critical alerts for your home region) are provided free of charge to all verified "Resident" members and will always remain free.

We also offer optional, paid subscription plans ("Guardian", "Sentinel") which provide enhanced features such as extended data history, additional alert zones, and multi-region monitoring. These subscriptions, along with sponsorships and donations, support the ongoing development, operation, and expansion of the platform. Full details are available on our Pricing Page. Subscriptions are managed through our secure third-party payment provider, Stripe.

3. User Accounts & Conduct

To use the Service, you must register for an account and complete our verification process. You agree to provide accurate information and are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree not to post content that is false, malicious, defamatory, illegal, or infringes on the privacy of others.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, without notice.

4. Limitation of Liability

The information on the Service is user-generated and provided "as is". We do not guarantee the accuracy or completeness of any information. Your use of the Service is at your own risk. We shall not be liable for any damages arising from the use of this Service.

5. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of Australia and the state of Western Australia, where the Service is currently in its Beta launch phase.
